ACT online videos provide viewers with presentations by specialists on important aspects of autism treatment without the expense and inconvenience of leaving their home communities.

Registrants have continuous access to the online videos and the enrichments that will be available to all of those who have either attended the live event or have registered for the online video. All that is required is a computer and a high-speed internet connection. You can even project the presentation onto a large screen for your home team, staff meeting or parents group!

ACT online videos range in length from 4 to 5 hours and are divided into segments so that they can be watched at the convenience of your team, daytime or evening, as many times as you wish.

ACT Online Videos require a high-speed internet connection, the latest Quicktime plugin and the Firefox web browser.

Before you register for an Online Video, it's a good idea to verify that the preview video will run with the computer and internet access you have available.

Participants will be provided tools to collaborate with school personnel to develop an appropriate educational program that considers the unique needs and abilities of the child, regardless of diagnosis. This presentation reviews important parts of the B.C. School Act and documents issued by the B.C. Ministry of Education. The information is relevant for children with a range of abilities and skills from kindergarten to graduation. Dr. Jacobsen has extensive experience as a psychologist, teacher and behavior consultant with children with diverse special needs.

Estate Planning for Families Who Have Children With Special Needs in B.C.
Blair P. Dwyer, Dwyer Tax Lawyers, Victoria, BC 
This presentation provides important information for parents of children with special needs on how to best to plan for their child's future. This presentation will cover both how to maximize the child's future financial security, including tax issues, and how to protect that security once the parent is no longer able to do so. Blair Dwyer is a well-known Canadian tax lawyer. He is the father of two children on the autism spectrum and is a member of the ACT Advisory Council.
