The Future of Behavior Consultancy in Autism Treatment - an International Perspective from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board

Gerald Shook, Ph.D., BCBA, Chief Executive Officer, Behavior Analyst Certification Board
{View Brochure}

Over the past decade the field of behaviour consultancy has been undergoing a transformation in BC and internationally. While many parents have embraced the responsibility of setting up their child’s treatment program, even in the face of a serious shortage of behavior consultants, there have been concerns raised about the varying qualifications of those who practice behavior consultancy. Based in the US, the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. © is a not-for-profit corporation established as a result of credentialing needs identified by behavior analysts, state governments and consumers of behavior analytical services.
