A Case Management Survival Guide
Jill Calder, M.D., Clinical Director of Rehabilitation Services, Thompson Cariboo
Shuswap Region

{View Brochure}

Dr. Calder’s fascinating presentation, illustrated with video and her own experiences as the parent of a child with ASD, provides important insights into best practices in the treatment of children with autism. The morning session will focus on the question "Why does the child with ASD behave like that?" A better understanding of autism is the launching pad for parents and community professionals to become important members of the child’s treatment team. The afternoon session will focus on parental and professional roles in the treatment team and how to make the team work in the interests of the child—a case management approach.
