Saturday Morning Autism School
Using Video Conferencing to Reach Parents in Their Communities
POSTPONED
ACT is sorry to announce we are postponing the Saturday Morning Autism School series. Low registration has necessitated this difficult decision. We want to maximize the impact of our parent training funding from MCFD; if we proceed we will reach relatively few parents outside the Lower Mainland.
We apologize for any inconvenience this caused for those who registered early. This is the first time ACT has had to delay a training opportunity and we share your disappointment.
ACT has learned a lot about video conferencing in the process of developing the Saturday Morning Autism School initiative. We look forward to developing other video conference workshops later this year, in addition to our conventional workshops outside the Lower Mainland.
ACT will continue to consult with parents and professionals province-wide to gauge how we can best meet parental needs for education, information and empowerment.
Any of your comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Please email dpugh@autismcommunitytraining.bc.ca

Questions & Feed back Opportunities
There will be limited opportunity for questions on the day of the workshop. Presenters who are doing a two part presentation will respond to your questions in their second broadcast. After session one, the facilitator at each site will gather questions and send them to ACT. ACT will forward your questions to the presenter so they can integrate your issues or questions into the second part of their presentation.
ACT will be asking participants to give us feed-back on workshop content and the video-
conferencing process.
