Charitable Tax Status

ACT has recently been awarded Charitable Tax Status by the Canada Revenue Agency, in recognition of our contribution to bettering the lives of people with ASD in British Columbia.
This means that ACT is now able to issue an official tax receipt to donors that they can use
to reduce their income tax.

We welcome donations to ACT to support our ongoing work in building a strong training, information and support system for families of children with ASD and those who work with them. In particular, we are seeking donations to the Training Bursary Fund which provides subsidies to low-income parents and para-professionals who wish to register for our workshops. These workshops are financed by the fees from registrants and are run on a break-even basis. In the case of out-of-country speakers, they can be very expensive.

We welcome donations by telephone using Visa or MasterCard, as well as cheques mailed to: 240 – 2250 Boundary Road, Burnaby, BC V5M 3Z3.

For more information on ACT’s work and how you or your company can support it, you are welcome to contact our Executive Director, Clair Schuman at 604-205-5467 or at cschuman@autismcommunitytraining.bc.ca.

ACT Autism Community Training Society’s Charitable Tax Number is #861691236RR0001.
