Earlier this year ACT was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the sixth annual Richard Brodeur Celebrity Classic, a golfing event held in August to raise monies for charities in BC. ACT has now received a cheque for $8000 from the Celebrity Classic that will be dedicated to ACT's training bursary fund - a fund established to provide assistance with parent and para-professional training. Education and training enable parents and para-professionals to better understand and plan intervention for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Effective parent training and education help make it possible for children

diagnosed with ASD to live productive, satisfying lives within their families and communities. ACT's Board and staff extend a big thank you to Richard Brodeur, Steve Cowl, Phil Adams, Krista Kehl, all those who served on the Management Committee, as well as the volunteers, participants, donors and sponsors for making this tournament such a success and worthy contribution to our community. Without everyone's hard work, notable dedication and generosity, this event and contribution to our community would not be possible.
