MCFD Releases Revised Parents' Handbook and Autism Website
ACT welcomes news of the Ministry of Children and Family Development's release of a revised version of their Parent's Handbook, and of the revamped Autism Spectrum Disorder section of the MCFD website.
The Ministry of Children and Family Development’s (MCFD’s) Autism Programs website has been updated to provide new information for parents, service providers, MCFD and Community Living BC staff and community partners.

The revised information includes:
- An updated Parent's Handbook: Your Guide to Autism Programs [pdf, 724 kb] (print copies will also be mailed to all families in receipt of autism funding)
- Plain language summary of eligible /ineligible expenses
- Step by step information on accessing funding
- A sample Behaviour Plan of Intervention
- Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI) clinical standards, which may also be useful for other intervention programs.
- Updated Autism Program forms - including a new Justification for Equipment and Supplies form and a Non-BCAAN (Private) Diagnosis of ASD form for use by non-BCAAN clinicians.
