Summer Fun Resources Available

Every year, parents from across British Columbia call ACT looking for information about summer programs and camps that children and youth with ASD might enjoy.

Please note if you are considering using your MCFD autism funds to pay for these camps you should confirm with the Autism Funding Process Unit at MCFD first. For example, the program for children under age 6 does not include camp fees as eligible expenses. Camps for children ages 6 - 18 are most often eligible if the program is specific to the child's autism. Contact the Autism Funding Processing Unit at 1-877-777-3530 to ensure that the camp you are considering will be an eligible expense.

The 2008 Summer Camp list is now available. However this list is not exhaustive. If something has worked for your child and you notice it is not on our list, let us know about it. Please send your summer program or camp information to info@actcommunity.net with “summer camp” in the subject line.
