About the Workshop
This workshop will focus on strategies for supporting social-communicative interactions between students with ASD and their peers. The importance of participation in peer culture as a critical component for the development of social communication will also be reviewed. Strategies that can be used to support students include video modeling and feedback. For students with limited or no speech who use augmentative or alternative communication, strategies will include using photo albums and using speech generating devices.
