This three day conference (including a pre-conference event) brings together speakers from across Vancouver Island, Canada and the U.S. The first conference of its kind on Vancouver Island, this event is an opportunity to learn, share and consider how our communities can better serve children and youth with autism and associated conditions to reach their potential as adults. The conference features two streams. The first will focus on the needs of younger children. The second focuses on adolescents as they prepare for adulthood. This conference will be filled with practical, enlightening information aimed at strengthening community connections and capacity.

Travel:
Ferry - The Vancouver Island Convention Centre is five minutes from the Departure Bay Ferry Ferminal (with service to Horseshoe Bay); 20 minutes by car to Duke Point (with service to Tsawwassen). See www.bcferries.com for fares and schedules.
Bus - Pacific Coach lines (www.pacificcoach.com) can take you from the main train terminal in Vancouver to the ferry.
Float Plane - Float planes from the Harbour Water Airport (www.harbour-air.com or www.seairseaplanes.com) to Vancouver is just a five minute walk from the hotel and convention centre It is a 25 minute float plane ride from Downtown Vancouver to Nanaimo.
Tourism: Check the Tourism Nanaimo site for things to do, or explore Vancouver Island, such as nearby Victoria, Tofino on the west side of the Island, the island communities in the north or some of the Gulf Islands to the south.
