Class instruction emphasizes the development of practical work skills which are required in all employment situations. Technology resources include technology assessment, consultation, the provision of assistive technology, training on the use of the technology, repair and trouble shooting, support and tip sheets". NEADS - National Educational Association of Disabled Students The National Educational Association of Disabled Students is a consumer organization, with a mandate to encourage the self-empowerment of post-secondary students with disabilities. NEADS advocates for increased accessibility at all levels so that disabled students may gain equal access to college or university education, which is their right. The Association provides information on services and programs for students with disabilities nationwide, publishes a regular newsletter, and conducts research on issues of importance to its members. Members include disabled students, educators, organizations and professional service providers. www.neads.ca
![]() The Customer Service and Cashier Training Program "is designed for students with barriers to employment. This program has been designed in partnerships with the retail business and hospitality sectors and includes classroom, lab and practicum components. The CSCT program covers all the required skills to prepare students for employment in various positions in the realm of customer service, hospitality, merchandising and cashiering". The Transitions to Work program combines 11 weeks of on-the-job experience with training in workplace skills to help you become a competent and successful employee. "This program is also designed to assist people who have been out of work for many reasons: parenting, illness, incarceration, layoffs or disability. The program runs for 14 weeks (one semester), beginning with three weeks of in-class sessions (two days each week), followed by 11 weeks of on-the-job experience". Access Program for People with Disabilites
The goal of the Access Programs is to provide post-secondary education for adults with various disabilities. These programs will prepare studens for employment, volunteer work and further education.
Triumph will be completing all services by April 30, 2012.
The Employment Program of BC (EPBC) is a new program that will replace the current range of employment supports and services across the province. The new WorkBC Employment Services Centres will be operational as of April 2, 2012 providing services to job seekers and employers in various locations around the province.
