Employment Experience:

I have 19 years of experience as a therapist and consultant in BC, Alberta, and Ontario, during which I have worked with children with autism spectrum disorders in school districts settings, child development centres, and in private practice.

Since 1993 I have been providing private practice consultation and training in the areas of assessment, training, intervention, and treatment planning and monitoring for students with ASD to agencies that include the Dawson Creek Child Development Centre, School District #59 (Peace River South), and the Grande Prairie School District Assessment Team. I expanded my Private Practice from part time to full time in 2004.

From 2003 to 2004, I was employed at the Fort St. John Child Development Centre, where I was a member of the multidisciplinary team that took a family centered approach to assessment and treatment for children from birth to 6 years

From 1993 to 2003 I was employed by the Waterloo County Board of Education and then School District #60, Peace River North. I provided assessment, direct therapy, and teacher training services.

Snapshot of Your Philosophy and Approach to Working with Individuals and Families with Autism

I believe that no two persons with autism are the same. Each has his or her own unique individual strengths and challenges and programming needs.
